"Do not force your children to behave like you, for they have been created for a time which is different to your time." – Nahj al-Balagha, Saying 399  Arabic: لَا تُكْرِهُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ عَلَى آدَابِكُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ مَخْلُوقُونَ لِزَمَانٍ غَيْرِ زَمَانِكُمْ. — نهج البلاغة، الحكمة ٣٩٩

Learn to be quite just as you learn to talk, because if talking guides you, being quite protects you.
